Welcome!
I’m Alyssa, a freelance journalist and content marketing writer based in New York City. I help businesses connect with their audience through content. My clients have included Lindt, Icebreaker, momondo, Hipmunk, and more. Learn more about my SEO & content marketing services!
Originally from Toronto, Canada, I majored in Psychology and Equity Studies at the University of Toronto. Before getting my MA in Social Anthropology at York University, I lived abroad in Martinique and London, UK. I take an ethnographic approach to travelling and storytelling, and I write at the intersections of social justice and travel. In Fall 2018, I began a PhD in Social Anthropology at Columbia University in New York City.
My bylines have appeared in the Globe and Mail, Porthole Cruise Magazine, International Living Magazine, Matador Network, Thought Catalog, Times of India, xoJane, Toronto Tourism, and Weather 2 Travel.
When I’m not writing or travelling, I’m reading, catching up on TV, or drinking wine with friends. I also enjoy surfing every now and again!
