Emerging from the subway into the rush of down on a Saturday night still makes my heart skip a beat. Sometimes I stare out of windows or go for walks just to see what the city is doing. Is it noisy? Is the city laughing? I love its neighbourhoods, its diversity, and the fact that you can go out every day or night for a year and never have to do the same thing twice.
Sometimes, however, Toronto is silent. It isn’t often and it doesn’t last long, but if you listen, really listen, you hear…silence. There are no police sirens, no honking cars, no students laughing, no footsteps of the homeless… just silence. I may have a boyfriend but my love affair with Toronto grows stronger every day.
Toronto has been on my list for too long!
